Screw The Moon – what it means

You know that saying “Reach for the stars, you might get the Moon”? Well, screw the Moon. If I reach for the stars, I’m getting the stars.

Aiming high and then settling for mediocre might sound like a recipe for achieving at least a little bit, but as far as I’m concerned it’s a cop-out.

Who aims to buy a Ferrari and then settles for a Fiat? Or dreams of becoming a best-selling author only to be happy with writing a couple of blog posts? There are probably plenty of settlers out there who do precisely those things. I don’t want to be one of them.

So this is my public declaration: Screw the Moon. I’m getting the stars. I’ll be documenting it on this blog for all to see, partly as motivation for myself and partly to help those who have similar dreams but don’t know how to get started.

It’s going to be a wild ride. I can’t wait to get started.
